Scott Kauffman is a career journalist and licensed real estate broker recognized as the leading authority on golf course business, private clubs and master-planned resort-style real estate development worldwide.

In an award-winning journalism career that spans nearly three decades, Kauffman has written thousands of articles for dozens of high-profile golf, luxury lifestyle and real estate publications. Additionally, the Orlando resident has been interviewed on numerous occasions by the New York Times, USA Today, CNN and the San Jose Mercury News for his expertise on trending golf and resort-style real estate news.

While graduating from the University of Hawaii as a broadcast journalism major with a minor in Chinese History, Kauffman began his career as a Sports Reporter for both Honolulu daily newspapers and the Associated Press. After moving to the U.S. Mainland, Kauffman then covered general sports and sports business for USA Today and USA Today Baseball Weekly, the Orlando Sentinel/Time-Warner's Central Florida News 13 and Golfweek Magazine and Golfweek Superintendent News.

When he's not writing for his own Resort Living Inc. news network, powered by the flagship ResortLivingMagazine.com, and VacationHomeMarket.com, and GolfCourseBusiness.com outlets, Kauffman is a regular contributor to Troon Magazine, the WorldPropertyJournal.com, Golf Business Magazine, the official publication of the National Golf Course Owners Association of America, and numerous other golf, lifestyle and real estate publications.

Besides being published in many of the top golf, hotel, travel and real estate publications, including Robb Report, Ideal Living, Links Magazine to name a few, Kauffman's unique business background as an industry expert from both a journalist's and real estate broker's perspective has allowed him to partner on content with various high-profile golf, private club and real estate developers from Marriott Golf to Tavistock to hotel icon Harris Rosen and Kingdom Golf, which was started by the King of Golf, Arnold Palmer.

An avid golfer, foodie and world traveler, Kauffman (on the far left next to Palmer's nephew/PGA Tour golfer Sam Saunders) is blessed to be happily married with an amazing wife and two wonderful daughters, including a recent graduate of High Point University. And much to the delight of her dad, Morgan Kauffman is now a second-generation broadcast journalist working as a news producer for Fox8 WGHP that serves the Piedmont Triangle cities of High Point, Winston-Salem and Greensboro, N.C.
